Never Just a Bear
Please read my terms and conditions before purchasing a bear.
All bears are sold on a first come first served basis.
General guidance;
The colours and finishes are subject to computer monitor differences and this must be taken into account when viewing the bears.
Size is approximate from the feet to the top of the head, not including ears.
Purchasing a Bear;
You may purchase a bear directly from my website using the PayPal button provided, please note the correct postage must be selected. Not selecting the correct postage could result in a delay in sending your bear as a further request will be made for the balance.
You may also purchase a bear from my Facebook fan page by private message stating the bear you would like to adopt and giving an email address. A PayPal invoice will be sent to this email address within 24 hours.
Alternatively a bank transfer can be used upon arrangement.
A bear will only be marked as sold once full payment has been cleared by PayPal or the Bank.
I do not charge any additional fees for the use of PayPal.
Layaway;
I do offer layaway on certain bears, this does not include any bears that are reduced.
Layaway terms can be available for up to four months, please ask for further details.
The initial deposit is non refundable or transferable. Further instalments are due at one monthly intervals and failure to meet these instalments will result in the right to withdraw the layaway facility. If at any time you have a problem meeting the layaway plan then do contact me prior to the next instalment.
Only one item is allowed on layaway at any time.
Bears are posted once all layaway instalments are completed.
Postage;
I try to post all my bears at the cost to me which does include packaging within 3 days of purchase. I cannot be held responsible for the time taken by the appointed courier. Proof of postage is always obtained, as is receipt of delivery.
All bears are posted, subject to cleared funds within three working days of purchase. Where possible I do combine shipping costs.
All bears are sent to the address given by PayPal, only.
I do require a contact telephone number, this number is not kept by me and is for the sole use of the courier. If for any reason a contact number is not available then the postage will be via Royal Mail and will incur a further cost and delay in delivery.
Customs Charges in the destination country are the customer’s responsibility. I do not in any circumstances under value for customs.
Cancellations and Returns;
You are entitled to cancel within 7 days of delivery, as per the UK Distance selling regulations.
A full refund will be given upon return of the bear undamaged and in its original condition. Refunds do not include postal charges and deductions will be made for custom charges if incurred within the UK for returning the item.
All bears must be returned fully insured and I am not liable for any missing or damaged bears in the post.
Exceptions to cancellations and returns are bears purchased under a layaway plan or in person.
All monies due under this returns policy will be paid within 30 days.
Privacy policy;
Important note: When I talk about "information" I am only referring to your contact details. I never have access to your financial information when you make payments using paypal or bank transfer. All sensitive information is held securely by those processing companies and they never share that information with me, or anyone else.
As a customer, Never Just a Bear may hold some information about you (your name, email address, address and telephone number) This further sets out everything you need to know about how I collect, use and store that information and if you require further information please contact me.
How the information is collected
I use Mailchimp to manage my mailing list, you can sign up for my newsletter on my website HERE. You will only ever end up on my mailing list if you have signed up for my newsletter or if you have requested that you be added to it. I will never just add you just because you have purchased a bear, or we are friends on facebook etc.
Whenever you order a bear from me, either directly via facebook or through my online shop you only give sufficient information about yourself to enable me to process your purchase.
My website provider is Wix, they have cookies enabled for this site to make sure your computer (or other device) is recognised when you visit here again.
Who has access to your information?
At the end of the day it's just me! I am Never Just a Bear, chief cook, bear maker and business slave. I am the only one who ever has access to your information and I would never pass this on to anyone else, ever.

How I use your information
I try to send out regular newsletters to those who have signed up to my mailing list to receive information about Never Just a Bear, they usually contain special offers, fair dates and new bears for sale.
In the unlikely event my fingers drop off and I stop making bears I will inform you so you can decide if you want to still continue to receive newsletters.
How I store your information
Mailchimp hosts details all members of my mailing list on their secure servers, my password is only known to me.
I keep my own financial records on spreadsheet and that information contains the names of the purchasers, that's you the bear collector. The purpose is to enable me to offer special discounts to loyal collectors.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time for the information I hold about you and those details would be free of charge. you also have the right to ask for those details to be deleted, amended or transferred. If you would like to do this please contact me.
